We each have a piece to contribute to the whole of human knowledge, and I’ve started an art project to gather wisdom across many languages, races, and cultures. It’s a crowd-sourced bank called Collective Food Wisdom. With each contribution, I create an artwork and offer it up weekly through my newsletter and on Instagram.

It can land anywhere on the spectrum from practical to philosophical. It could be advice you call up daily at the stove: “Make the pasta water as salty as the ocean.” Or in the garden: “Pick green beans when they’re young; that’s when they’re most tender.” Or at the dining table: “Take your time.”
